Pelikan Special Editions based on model M200

The model M200 was introduced in 1985. The size of the fountain pen is identical to the M400, which was also produced since 1985. A redesign took place in 1997, so the models prior to 1997 are referred as 'Old Style'. After 1997 the crown cap was changed and a trim ring was added to the filling knob. The M200 model has a steel nib while the M250 has a gold nib.
The logo before 1997 had two chicks and was embossed, after 1997 it had two chicks but was printed, and since 2003 there is only one chick left in the nest.

The name of M205 has been used since 2005, at first for a demonstrator with silver fittings. Then in 2009 the models in red, white and black were introduced.
